At Spire Financial we are proud to promote Singing Gorilla Projects, a charity started in 2014 by our friend and colleague Chris Read to provide help to a remote rural community in south west Uganda. Singing Gorilla Projects funds and manages community based projects that improve the welfare of communities and enriches the lives of individuals. It builds and manages health facilities and schools as well as sponsering children to continue their schooling. It funds water delivery programmes with water tanks, water filters, and water pumping projects.
Singing Gorilla Projects work on the Nteko ridge and the surronding hills in the Kisoro district of Uganda, a stone throw away from the DR Congo border, close by Bwindi, the home of the last remaining majestic Mountain Gorilla. This is a remote region with no electricity or running water.
